* Determine if the domain name you want is available
To determine the availability of the domain name you want, go to
Registration from your Web browser. Enter the domain name you'd like to reserve in the text box on that page, and click GO!

* Select your service options
In addition too domain name you can also, optionally, host your site or e-mail with OMnic see list of
available options

* Fill information about your company
You will need to fill up information about account holder contact, administrative person contact, billing person contact and if your are not hosting your site with OMnic, you will be asked about technical person contact and primary/secondary DNS name and IP.

* Agree to service agreement & submit
You will need to agree to
Rules and Service Agreement before you can submit your application.

* Submit required documents
You will need to submit the following document depend in which domain you have requested:

For CO, COM
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.
- A copy of valid Commercial Registration Certificate from the Ministry

  of Commerce and Industry.
- If you register for a Trademark i.e. Microsoft, mars, galaxy, Rolex,

   ...etc, you must provide a license /permission from the major
   owner/sponsor.
- For who register a domain name service without hosting and reside

   outside the sultanate of Oman, they should provide a copy of a valid
   license from Ministry of Commerce (or equivalent organization) in their
   country.

For EDU
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.
- A copy of valid License from the Ministry of High Education or Ministry

   of Education.

For ORG
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.
- A copy of official documents from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affair

   and Vocational Training.

For NET
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.
- A copy of valid License from the Ministry of Transportation and

   Communications or from Oman Telecommunication Company.

For MIL
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.

For GOV
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.

For MED
- A letter to General Manager internet Unit requesting the domain name

   registration and it must be on an official letterhead.
- A valid license from the Ministry of Health.

You can either deliver the documents to OMnic
- by hand to Internet Department located in Ministry of Transport &

   Telecommunications building.
- or By registered mail addressed to :

                      Internet Unit
                      Oman Telecommunications Company
                      P.O. Box 194, Al Athaiba
                      Postal Code 130
                      Sultanate of Oman



In case you failed to submit the required documents within 14 business days, starting from the day of your registration, the domain will become available again for registration.
